What We Do

Heart of the Mountains Hospice, Inc. provides specially selected and trained staff to help clients and their family caregivers facing a life-limiting illness or injury. Care is tailored to the person’s needs and wishes and support is provided to the person's loved ones or primary care provider.

While the focus of hospice is on caring, not curing, we rely on the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free and with dignity, and that our loved ones will receive the necessary support to allow this to happen.

Care is often provided in the person's home, but may also be offered in assisted living and long term care facilities.  Our services are available to patients of any age, religion, race, or illness.  Hospice care is covered under Medicare, Medicaid, most private insurance plans, HMOs, and other managed care organizations.

Our Mission:

Heart of the Mountains Hospice is committed to improving the quality of life of the terminally ill and their families through a holistic and individualized care utilizing the most modern philosophies and techniques in medical care, psychosocial, spiritual and bereavement services.
